Dear colleagues,
On behalf of the Wireless and Optical Communications Conference (WOCC) 2018 Organizing Committee, we welcome you to the 27th WOCC in Hualien, Taiwan, on April 30 and May 1, 2018.
In the past two decades, WOCC has become one of the major events for telecommunications and networking professionals both in the U.S. and the Asia-Pacific region to present new research results, discuss emerging technologies, innovative research ideas, and network among telecommunications experts.
The main theme of WOCC 2018 is "Communications and Networking to Realize a Smarter World," highlighting the innovations as well as evolutions in both wireless RAN and the core network for a more versatile 5G/B5G wireless mobile communication system to fit the various future applications of great difference in QoS requirements. To employ the powerful tools recently developed in AI, Machine Learning and Data Analytics and to build a flexible network architecture with the technologies of centralized Cloud Computing and distributed Edge Intelligence, the future communications and networks will be more adaptive and flexible to realize a much smarter world.
